Join Saint Mark

As you visit with us, we invite and encourage you to move toward membership in the Saint Mark United Methodist Church family.

• We receive members on any Sunday at any service
• If you are coming from another denomination, we accept the transfer of your membership. You do not have to be re-baptised.
   

Open Membership Sunday

New members are invited to join Saint Mark every Sunday by joining the ministers in the front of the church during the final hymn of each Morning Worship Service. The ministers will welcome you, share with you our vows of church membership, and introduce you to the congregation.

If you are interested in making Saint Mark your church home but feel a little nervous about walking down the aisle in front of everyone, you are invited to join on Open Membership Sunday instead. Simply wait until either Morning Worship Service ends and then come to the front of the church to meet our ministers and members of our Hospitality Committee who will welcome you and go over our membership vows with you.

How to Join

If you have any questions regarding how to join Saint Mark, we will gladly answer any questions or give any information regarding our church. When you are ready to join, let us know by any of the following:

• Call the church office at 404-873-2636
• Schedule a meeting with one of our ministers
• Note your intentions on the Attendance Registration Card located in the pews. Please print legibly.
• Send an e-mail to office@stmarkumc.org -- Please include Name(s), Address, Telephone(s), e-mail address, any children’s names and ages, and present affiliation (include city/state if out of town)

Categories by which you can Join

• Transfer of Letter
  when you have been on the roll of another church.
• Reaffirmation of Faith/Rededication
  when you have been inactive in your former church for a period of time.
• Profession of Faith
  when you have been baptized but have not actually joined a church.
• Profession of Faith and Baptism
  when you have neither joined a church nor been baptized.
