Hand Bells—The Saint Mark Ringers
Established in 1996, the bell choir is made up of musicians both advanced and beginning, who enjoy sharing their love of music, the challenge of preparing and rehearsing pieces for performance and the camaraderie that is unique and special to performing groups. New members are always welcome.
Time Commitment: Rehearsals Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. for one hour.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir leads the worship services musically for both Sunday morning worship services and other festival worship events at Saint Mark. This choir, who sing from Bach to Broadway and everything in between, is open to any who are interested, high school age and above. This is not an audition choir. The community is made up of persons with a wide variety of musical experience and expertise. It is this diversity that we enjoy and benefit from the most.
Time Commitment: Sunday morning worship services, as well as other festival worship events. Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
TTBB and SSAA Choirs—The Saint Mark Singers
Some holiday weekends, and from time to time, mixed choirs, and those entirely of Treble or Lower voices will participate in services at Saint Mark. These choirs are made up of chancel choir members and are also open to anyone who is interested in singing in these occasional opportunities who might not be able to commit to the chancel choir every week.
Time Commitment: As needed/as available.
Instrumental Ensemble—The Saint Mark Brass
The Saint Mark Brass is a volunteer ensemble of Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone and Tuba players (Brass Quintet), which participates in services providing voluntaries, as well as accompaniment for choral music and hymn singing. Membership requires at least high school and/or college/university ensemble experience.
Time Commitment: Weekly rehearsals are Saturday mornings, 10:00 a.m.
Instrumental Ensemble—The Saint Mark Winds
The Saint Mark Winds are now forming! Our goal is to create three separate instrumental ensembles: the Saint Mark Brass, the Saint Mark Winds and the Saint Mark Strings. These ensembles would participate in worship individually and as a variety of combined ensembles, thus creating The Saint Mark Orchestra.
Play Pre-service Music—Music as We Gather
Pre-service music has long been a Saint Mark tradition. We invite pianists, organists, and other instrumentalists to provide 15 to 20 minutes of music in the sanctuary as people are arriving for both of the Sunday morning services.
Vocal Solo and Ensemble
There are numerous opportunities for persons to participate by singing solos or within ensembles. We encourage those of our community to share their gifts in this way as their time allows. Certainly a person does not have to be a member of the Chancel Choir to be a soloist at any service or event.
Time Commitment: As needed/as available.
IMPROMPTU!
IMPROMPTU! is hands-on and participatory in its nature, fun and spontaneous in its character, process and education oriented in its focus, quick and consistent success for EVERY child in its heart. If you have a love of music and children, this might be the place for you. Helpers will assist leaders in all activities from preparing snacks, to taking roll, or just singing and playing along.

Sacred Dance
The Fine Arts department is just beginning its adventure into interpretive movement and to incorporate dance where appropriate as a means of enhancing the worship experience. Individuals with formal dance training with an interest in dance in a worship are encouraged to participate.
Banners and Visual Design
Saint Mark is well on its way in the establishment of a resource center for the many images, colors, textures, and artistic possibilities and needs that arise out of our worship and gathering together. Persons with design abilities or technical skills in sewing, crafts or the visual arts are welcome. This group leads the design and creation of banners; the design, creation or set up of the altar for festival services; the creation of graphics for worship folders; cover design for publicity materials. We also have the need to organize or catalog our resources or any other visual applications.
