Come Home to Saint Mark
How do we identify the church that is right for us? Sometimes we drive by and look at the structure that is visible to the public. We look at its shape, its color, and any other distinguishing characteristics. Some will identify Saint Mark as the church with the three sets of red doors at the corner of Peachtree and Fifth in Midtown Atlanta.
Sometimes we look for a church by its programs and ministries. Saint Mark is identified by some people on the basis of its outstanding music ministry, its wonderful work with the homeless community, its vibrant children’s ministry, its strong programs of Christian nurture, just to name a very few.
Ministries do help give a church its identity, but what really makes a church are the people that call it home. At Saint Mark, we have wonderful people as members and constituents. People ready to share God’s love and hospitality with all who come through the doors. People honestly struggling with questions of faith and life.
We hope you will take the time to come home to Saint Mark and help us get to know you better. It is not an easy thing as a newcomer to walk into a large, diverse, dynamic church like Saint Mark, but we invite you to take a chance on us. Our hearts, our minds, and our doors are open.
