Drama Ministry

Drama Ministry Mission

  • To provide an outlet for people to find and use their talents & gifts to glorify God and serve their church.
  • To achieve growth for the benefit of the church and the whole community through the process of producing, rehearsing, and presenting large and small scale theatrical productions.
  • To bring together people in fellowship and give them an opportunity to share their gifts and talent through acting, production, costuming, and all aspects of theatrical productions.

 

Love Letters, presented by the Saint Mark Drama Ministry

Love Letters

The Saint Mark Drama Ministry will present A. R. Gurney’s Pulitzer Prize-Winning Drama, Love Letters, Sunday, February 12, 4pm, & Monday, February 13, 7:30pm, (just in time for Valentine’s Day), in Wade Hall. 

The play centers on just two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, reading the notes, letters and cards - in which over nearly 50 years, they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats - that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.

Brown Paper Tickets, Love LettersTickets are $12 general admission for either performance. OR for Sunday's performance, a $30 general admission will include after show prix fixe Valentine's Dinner at The Fifth Ivory (corner Juniper and 5th Streets).

Beyond the Footlights

Since its first production, in 2000, the casts and crews of the Saint Mark Drama Ministry productions have asked their audiences to help them extend the ministry beyond the footlights by accepting a love offering following each performance.

The generous donations of the audiences have impacted individuals in Atlanta and around the world. Among the recipients of the donations have been:
