Saint Mark Hosts a Dialogue for Clergy

The Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus invites all clergy (and anyone else who so desires) to attend Gay Men, Faith & Reconciliation: A Private Dialogue for Clergy of all Faiths, Tuesday, March 31, 2009, 7:30 pm, in the Sanctuary of Saint Mark United Methodist Church. This event is open to everyone.

Panelists will provide local, national and international updates on the continuing conflict between homosexuality and organized religion.

The panel will feature Harry Knox, Director of the Religion & Faith Program for the Human Rights Campaign; Rev. Carolyn Mobley, activist and minister in the Metropolitan Community Church; University of West Georgia professor Daniel Helminiak (Author of What the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality and several books on related topics); and Pastor Bradley Schmeling of St. John's Lutheran Church (an Atlanta congregation that received national attention for its support of an openly gay pastor).

A moderated question and answer session follows the remarks and the dialogue continues at a reception in the adjacent Parlor.
