On June 27, 2008, Atlanta Interfaith Broadcasters (AIB aibtv.com) featured Saint Mark and its Green Team in their broadcast. The segment focused on progress that we have made in becoming more environmentally aware and better stewards of the natural resources that we have been given.
The interview covered the efficiency of the Sanctuary's new air conditioning unit, recyling bins located around the church, and the replacements of all light bulbs in the building.
Shane Totten & Shannon Bergstrom, Green Team co-chairs, were interviewed. Shannon was also instrumental in Saint Mark's receipt of a grant from Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL) to help cover the cost of some of these improvements.
