“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”

Proverbs 11:25

Ministries In the Community

Second Saturday Breakfast Club Volunteers

Breakfast Club

Every Saturday morning, Breakfast Club prepares and serves a hot meal to 60 people who are in need. Volunteers serve the meal in an environment where the group can relax and be treated with love and respect.

Blessed Are The Feet

Blessed Are The Feet offers foot care once a quarter to individuals who participate in the Saturday morning Breakfast Club. Volunteers bathe the feet of the individual and both a specialist in foot care as well as a registered nurse provide medical care.

Supper Club

Every Tuesday afternoon, Supper Club prepares and serves a hot meal to 60 people who are in need. Similar to Breakfast Club, this ministry provides a meal to individuals in a loving and respectful environment.

Wiggins House

Wiggins House was established by Saint Mark many years ago as a night shelter for homeless women and their children. Today it has evolved into transitional housing where mothers and their children can live while bringing their lives back to wholeness.

Trinity Table

Trinity Table program is a collaborative community effort organized by Trinity United Methodist Church which provides a meal every Sunday to individuals who are homeless through partnership with area churches and individuals. A team from Saint Mark prepares and serves a meal to approximately 250 individuals one Sunday per year (traditionally in December) onsite at Trinity United Methodist Church.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a home-building ministry through which volunteers and trade professionals build a home for a family who is otherwise unable to have a home. Saint Mark typically partners with other area churches to build a Habitat home.

Team Fundraising

Saint Mark organizes individual participants into teams representing Saint Mark in fundraising events to raise money for local agencies which work to address needs in the community. Some of the events from recent years have included the AIDS Walk, the Hunger Walk and the AV200 Bicycle Ride.

Seasonal Drives

Saint Mark periodically sponsors clothing, toy and food drives throughout the year to support agencies in the community such as the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Central Outreach and Advocacy Center, Pride for Parents and the Midtown Assistance Center.

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Luke 6:38

Beyond Our Local Community

International Mission Trip

Saint Mark sends a team of members on a global mission trip once per year. Our teams work in the areas of construction, education and health to provide hope to others and share the love of Christ. In recent years, our team has traveled to Honduras, the Bahamas and Costa Rica.

Appalachia Service Project (ASP)

The Appalachia Service Project is a home-repair and home-building ministry through which volunteers and staff repair and build homes for low-income families in rural Central Appalachia. Generally over one weekend in the summer or the fall, the Saint Mark work team travels to ASP to participate in this ministry.
